August 2008: Atlanta Art Gallery hosts Realism Invitational 2008 from Aug 22- Oct 5. Opening reception is Friday, August 22nd from 6-9 pm. "The Photographer", "Dichotomy" and "Still Life with Tassle" are among the works that will be exhibited.
"This drawing was conceived a bit like Frankenstein's monster...." The summer issue of American Artist Drawing Magazine is out. January 2008 The Artist Magazine's 2007 Portrait/Figure International Competition results have been posted. I was selected as one of the 55 finalists.
December 2007:

November 2007: The Artist's Magazine announced their winners in their Annual International Competition. I won 2nd place in Still Life for "The Hermit". The winners are featured in the December 2007 issue. It is also published in their online magazine.
I will be exhibiting with at the Atlanta Art Gallery in their show, "The Beginning: The Art of Drawing" in Atlanta, GA
October 2007:
The Art Renewal Center has announced the winners of their annual scholarship competition. I was awarded a scholarship and a purchase award for "Self Portrait" to go in the Fred and Sherry Ross Collection.

September 2007:
The San Marino Gallery in Pasadena, CA will be exhibiting our work from The Waichulis Studio 2007 show from Sept 15 to Oct 31st.
July 2007: "A Museum of living artists", the Salmagundi Club on 5th Avenue in Manhattan is hosting their annual Non-Member's Juried Exhbition in New York from June 25 to July 14. "Still Life with Gyroscope" was chosen for their exhibition.
May 2007: "The Portrait Society of America is a not-for-profit organization
directed by a governing board of artists dedicated to "The International Portrait Competition has quickly grown to become one the most prestigious events in the field of portraiture today. Each year the selected works have reflected a unique combination of skill and talent. Winners have received international publicity, honor and recognition." I was awarded the Portrait Society of America's 2007 Honor Award for my self portrait and exhibited it at the annual International Portrait Conference in Washington, DC.
