Kate Sammons is pleased to be included in the Reys Gallery exhibition, “The Big Gamble”.
As an alumni of the Ani Academy Waichulis, her painting approach shows the influence of
an apprenticeship and training with Anthony Waichulis. The theme of the show, gambling, is
not literally echoed in the subject matter of Kate’s painting. Instead Kate chose to gamble
with the exhibition guest’s expectations, inviting them to enjoy her painting as an expression
on her genuine interests and honest intentions- in this case being primarily to stimulate,
challenge and entertain.
