Fall 2010 Issue of American Artist Drawing Magazine!
Austin Williams, of American Artist Magazine wrote a wonderful article on my work. He takes several of my pieces and examines them in depth. In his interview you will read about the way these works came together: the original inspiration, my intentions and methods. If you get a chance to check this article out, please send the magazine a comment to let them know what you thought! Clicking the images will take you to where you can get a free trial copy of this issue.
Also in this same issue, there is a great step by step demonstration on how edges can create form, atmosphere and composition. Even if you are not an artist, you will appreciate this article for the insight it will bring you the next time you look at a work of art. The contributers, Anthony Waichulis and Timothy Jahn, for this article also happen to be my friends and associates. Congratulations to you both!
Presenting new work:
“Plums” will be on exhibition and for sale at Gallery 1261′s Small Works show, opening Dec 10, 2010. The creation of this painting is also documented in a step by step process that will be revealed in an upcoming magazine feature next year. I am greatly looking forward to sharing more information about this with you closer to the date.

Also, perhaps you already know that this exhibition was in coordination with four other participating galleries in Scottsdale for the second annual Scottsdale Drawing Event. There is a beautiful book of artist’s works that is available for sale from the gallery for this spectacular celebration of drawing.
The Small Works Show at Gallery 1261. The holidays are coming and the annual best seller is back by popular demand! Keep an eye out for more delightful previews of this event as the date gets closer and excitement rises for this gorgeous display of knockout work.
Please be patient:
For the promised debut of student work from our studio atelier. Everyone is working hard and intent on putting their best efforts into creating work at the pinnacle of their abilities. Their devotion to perfecting skills and deliberating over decisions is commendable. Watching the work in progress developing, I am really amazed at results so far and will be very proud to share the outcome soon!
