Available now on the magazine stands

You can now find the American Artist Fall issue of Drawing in stores and on the stands. This picture was taken in the Barnes and Noble at the Americana Mall in Glendale, off of Brand.  People have told me that the issues in some stores are already sold out of the issue and they had to special order their own copy. I hope that you will pick one up while they are still out!

Work from fellow artists at the Kate Sammons Studio

As promised, I am proud to announce the wonderful work of artists and students who have participated in the atelier program here at the studio. Please check out their new gallery page that is posted in the Work section. The program includes both a skill building exercise curriculum and creative projects that fulfill the growing capabilities of the artist. Projects usually begin in charcoal and finish in paint. Currently there are several new exciting works in progress that I can’t wait to share, so please check back soon for more updates from our artists at the studio!

New Ani Art Academy Waichulis opening!

My former apprenticeship at the Waichulis Studio has undergone a transformation into the Ani Art Academies Waichulis! Anthony Waichulis, founder and director, is proud to announce that after 12 wonderful years, The Waichulis Studio begins 2011 as The Ani Art Academy Waichulis.  This change marks The Waichulis Studio’s merging with the newly developing Ani Art Academies program, a non-profit endeavor that will provide an intensive multi-year art skills education to aspiring artists around the world.  The curriculum has been adopted from the Waichulis Studio’s core program and is designed to promote creative freedom through logic and discipline.  Following the opening of The Ani Art Academy Waichulis this Fall, the first 3 international Ani Art Academies are slated to open in 2012.  This exciting venture is bringing amazing new opportunities to artists internationally! I encourage you to sign up for the Ani Art Academy Waichulis newsletter for future updates and valuable information.
