Hello Susan,
Thanks for your questions and contact. The location hasn’t been finalized yet but it will be near the neighborhoods of Silver Lake and Echo Park. Instruction will begin in mid to late April. I sent some additional information to your email.

Hi Kate first congrats on your Arc win… absolutely Beautiful! and well deserved! I have followed your art with interest…and would like to study with you…am glad to know you will be local to where I live(2 blocks from the Huntington Library in San Marino)…except for 3 semesters in art at the Art Center in my youth…I have had no formal training….would love info on classes studio adress,parking,prices for classes etc! do you have am open house nite?

Great talent! Congratulations–lots of hard work and dedication. I love the one that you did of your Mom!! Keep me in the loop on what you are working on or if you have anything being shown here in the Atl. I am an instant FAN!! Very, very impressed. I am certain to become a customer. May even have to send my daughter, Amber, out to take your classes. She had two of her “pieces” picked to be in the local 6th grade county contest. Watch Out!!

This morning I was overwhelmed by a swell of happiness. Like these waves on the California Coast of Santa Monica continually sweeping in…Happiness just keeps washing over me. I am thinking of the time my generation of women put in on making sure our kids had the best possible education. Many of us teachers …cause that is what women did in the 50s-60s…many of us first degree holders in our families…..and oh my has it paid off. Now that I have the time to study again, the young teachers that my generation educated are at the forefront of my chosen field….and let me tell you they are not just educated they are EDUCATED they not only teach art but they swim in it!….of course I am talking about Kate Sammons. This week I have watched her not give in to my age, nor my physical shortcomings, not give in to my 1970 BFA……she has pursued with great courage her beliefs. I have spent the week….pages and pages…..pencils and pencils of scales. I was right, when I first saw Kate Sammons portrait of Emma on the internet….I was overcome….each day in my mind Emma brought me gifts…..the ultimate gift of course was KATE SAMMONS
